      Zane Lovelace Jr. was on fire Saturday night at Stockton99
Speedway! Returning to Stockton after almost two years, Lovelace
was a enjoyment to have back. Running top practice times the fans
were eager to see what he could do in qualifying. Qualifying with a
13.905 Lovelace Jr. was the #1 qualifier. Pulling a 10 invert he was
placed in 10th position to start the race. The Ty Joiner led team, knew
they had to pass cars fast as the race was only a 40 lap main. The #46
car was like a rocket ship, passing car after car, working his way to the
front of the pack very early on in the race. After a few cautions and a
red flag with 5 laps to go, Zane Lovelace Jr. was sitting in 3rd position.
On the first lap of the restart Lovelace passed the #17 car of Michael
Sandoval coming out of turn 4. He was quickly gaining on the #2 of
Mike Wendt with only 2 laps to go passing him coming out of turn 4.
Zane went on to take the win and had this to say this in victory lane: “
What a great night! Our West Coast Transmission Chevy was a hot
rod! We tested here yesterday and it really paid off. I can’t thank my
team enough for all of there hard work. I have to give a special thanks
to Paul Gomes this weekend. He and Jake really put a lot of effort in
getting  this car in victory lane tonight. Ty Joiner, my crew chief, really
made all of the right calls today and the entire team worked hard for
this one. My spotter Billy Shaul really saved our necks a few times
keeping us out of a few wrecks tonight.”
